    Tony Kenneth Burris

    Tony was born on May 30, 1929 at Blanchard and gave his life for his country, in Korea, on Oct 9, 1951.

    Tony enlisted in the Army July 1950. He served in Korea and was killed at Heartbreak Ridge on Oct 9, 1951 as a Sergeant First Class (E7). He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions on the battlefield.
