    Andrew Terrell was born on Feb 29, 1904 at Burnt Prairie, IL. and passed on Nov 16, 1986.

    The following, in part, is an excerpt from the 1969 yearbook dedication to Mr. and Mrs. Terrell:

    Andrew attended elementary school in Illinois, Southwestern Oklahoma, El Reno and Blanchard. His junior highand high school years were spent at Bridgecreek and Blanchard. He attended East Central State College in Ada where he received both his Bachelor and Master's Degrees. His first teaching experience was in 1925 at Freeney, which was three miles east of Blanchard. He then taught at Bond School, north of Blanchard, for two years before coming to Blanchard. He was at Blanchard from 1928 until 1969——41 years. He was a classroom teacher for 6 years, a coach, a principal for 28 years, and superintendent of Blanchard public schools from 1959 to 1969.

    The new Blanchard high school, built in 1968 and 1969, was named for Mr. Terrell and stands as a tribute to an outstanding man and educator.
